My first mistake of the year was the day I decided to stop in Hudsons Furniture thinking a FAMILY!!! Owned business will honest (Big Mistake)., unfortunately I did not read the reviews.
As a Veteran with over 28 years in service, I dealt with a lots of furniture store, but this company is the most dishonest, pathetic furniture store I ever seen. The salespersons, knowingly misrepresented and forgot to mention some facts. I made a purchase of over $3,600 hundred dollar on January 13, 2024 with a delivery date of January 18th. I decided to cancel one of the items two days later and the informed that they cannot be cancelled because the item was in the truck.
The only thing they can do was to give a sore credit, so I was obligated to buy other items instead of returning the money. The day of the delivery on January 18th, one item (Office desk) was damaged. After some phone calls, they send someone to inspect the item and try to fix it instead of replacing it for a new one, that was over two weeks later. I decided to visit the store to demand a new desk or my money back, and the manager apologize for the inconvenience and told me that the company policy is to send someone to inspect the item and try to fix, that was not informed to me when I PURCHASE THE DESK.
The manager in the store finally requested a new desk, but they tried to deliver the new desk Feb 12, but was also damaged. That is over a month after I purchase the desk. I contacted customer service, and I am still waiting for an answer. What is pathetic is that I contacted two different salespersons at the store, including the one who sold me the furniture, and ask to speak with the store manager, and they both informed me that store manager was in a meeting and will call me after.
Well, that is the longest meeting that I have ever seen, I am still waiting for the call.
I believe that is another policy they have in place to deceive the customers. Please stay away from this company, especially if you are a Veteran, we do not deserved that type of service.

I tried repeatedly to get Customer Service on the phone. Pressed all the number prompts, waited 10 minutes and was disconnected each time.
We had a rug and pad installed on October 11, 2022.
The installers were awful. The man came in and kept repeating that he "only had 10 minutes" per stop, over and over. They brought the wrong size pad and proceeded to put a 5X7 pad under our 8X10 rug. We had already purchased a pad big enough to fit under the rug, but it had to be trimmed.
And, since he only had 10 minutes he really didn't want to, but started to trim for us. After a minute of cutting, he went out and got his woman associate from the truck, and she came in and insisted INSISTED that the 5X7 was correct. We went with her "professional" advice, since she did this "all the time". The two men hurried through our installation and TOTALLY disrupted the wiring under our reclining sofa.
My 75 year old husband and I had to redo after they left, using a car jack to get the sofa repositioned so that our lamps would plug in under the sofa once more. What a fiasco. Now, the 5X7 pad ,as we expected, is making a ledged outline under the lovely rug. SO, today, we get to take out the 5X7 pad, which they assured us was the "way it is done", trim the other, move the huge sofa and chairs ourselves ..
We just now finished redoing...cutting the correct pad, re-lifting the sofa and chairs, lifting the carpet, pulIing out the 5X7 pad, and positioning the 8X10 pad and carpet and getting the furniture in place. It was 2x as hard to undo the shoddy delivery men's work and installing the correct one than to start from scratch.
AND I PAID $99 FOR THIS WORK AND FRUSTRATION. I will definitely think twice before I go with Hudson's again for furniture.

I went to the store to purchase bed furniture. My first time with Hudson and a lady was somehow rude because I asked if is made in America and she replied little nasty correcting me that you mean USA because
America is a continent..
it was her voice how she approached me that really got me upset...anyway I still went back and purchased bed furniture next day and a guy helped me. He was little nicer but pushing in my bill the warranty.
Even though I said I didnt want it he still put it in my bill... I asked to be removed but at the end they convinced me to keep it because they took off the delivery fee.
I just want to say that I havent received my furniture yet so I can comment in the quality if the product.
I hope it is good quality

Dissatisfaction with sales/design/management
Found saleslady incompetent... She furnished wood samples on selected wood furniture and when furniture arrived was completely different from sample.
She was to contact Rep. to inquire why and never got back to me.
The store manager called me on another matter and I was told that it was due to the different woods used. This was an excuse as these pieces were painted white and textured and it wouldn't matter the wood species. The salesperson just ignored the issue as I feel she was only concerned about her commissions.
Also the billing methods that Hudson's uses are confusing at best and even the salesperson seemed confused. When questioned about charges via email, we get ignored by her as well as the regional manager. Seems they are only interested in their sales.
The designer seemed to be helpful in his designs and ideas but completely messed up the Master bedroom. The furniture selected, wouldn't fit the room and had to be returned and had to hastily find another instock bedroom set.
No apologies or concerns on their part.. Had to fight with the regional manager to get a refund as she said it was a special order and couldn't be returned even though it was their error not being able to fit in the room. The new store manager called to thank me for spending in excess of $30K and had questioned him on a charge since my salesperson would not respond. He seemed very concerned and indicated he would get back to me personally.
Typical all talk and no action.... never returned my call.
Very disturbed with the entire process except the delivery service...The delivery was on time and very professional and neat. Although Hudson's advertises on their website, free delivery, they did try to add it onto my invoice but didn't when I complained to the designer.
So many issues to mention but please be aware if you're spending $500.00 or Thousands, document everything and get copies of sales tickets showing your deposits and balances. If you get a salesperson initially and don't feel comfortable with them...
ask for a change as I should have done from the start.
The above is my opinion based on my recent experience with Hudson's Furniture.
I have decided not continue any future relationship with them and hopefully will not have any warranty issues... can only imagine what that will be like.
User's recommendation: I would advise shopping at other stores first and leave Hudson's as a last resort.
